1 Small Step for Man, 1 Giant Leap for Women!

In Today's Society it is Okay for Women To Propose Marriage To Men, But This Wasn't Always the Case. 'Back in the Day' Women Weren't Allowed To Propose at all.

However in 5th Century Ireland St. Bridget Complained To St. Patrick About Women Having To Wait for so Long for a Man To Propose. St. Patrick Allowed the Yearning Females To 'Pop the Question' on 1 Day Every 4 Years; February 29th (Leap Year).

In 1288, Scotland Passed a Law Allowing Women To Propose Marriage To the Man of Their Choice in a Leap Year. They Also Made it Law That Any Man Declining a Proposal Must Pay a Fine Which Could Range From a Kiss To a Silk Dress.
