The Prime Minister (PM) Gordon Brown is About To Unveil Plans Making it Compulsory For All Non-EU Skilled Workers To Understand the English Language To a Standard Equal To GCSE Level C or Above, Before They Can Enter Britain.
Before Any Paks Start Excessively Perspiring, Let Me Reassure Them That These Measures Concern People Coming To Britain To Work, & Not Those Being Imported as Foreign Spouses (Although I Gather The Latter Will Face a Citizenship Test & English Lessons!!).
I'm Very Much in Favour of This New Policy. My Own Experiences at My Workplace Expose Many Non-EU Doctors & Nurses Who Can’t Speak (Or Understand) Basic English. I’ll Admit That This Often Affects Patient Care (Adversely).
However I Urge Gordon To Apply the Same Rules To EU Workers as I Have Come Across EU Doctors & Nurses Whose English Skills Are Just as Bad (if Not Worse).
What’s More I Ask the PM To Ban Anyone Entering the UK Who Doesn’t Know the Difference Between 'He' & 'She'... It Does My Head in at Work (Hint… Filipino Nurses)!
